Unfortunately, due to a lack of registrations the Boyup Brook Community Resource Centre has had to make the tough decision to cancel Makers in May this year.
In its place however, there will be two Makers Workshops that will be running concurrently at the CRC, 86 Abel Street, on Saturday, May 14 from 10am-12pm. Local creator, Bev Prideaux will be running a two hour Needle Felting Workshop, with all materials provided. The cost is $55 for CRC members and $65 for non members. Spaces are limited and registrations required. For the kids, talented local painter Ally Kerr will run a ‘Get Creative with Nature and Recyclables’ workshop where all ages are invited to work on a community artwork project. This workshop is free thanks to the support of the Boyup Brook Lions Club. The Makers Workshops will run in conjunction with the 2022 Neighbourhood Centre Week which has the theme of ‘Building resilience by bringing people together.’ For more information about these events, head to the CRC website: www.boyupbrook.crc.net.au, or follow on the social media pages.
