From July 1 2023, the State Library is no longer able to support a freight contract for the widescale delivery of inter-library loans across WA.
What does this mean for you?
- Availability of some printed materials will take longer than usual. Have you considered receiving the item electronically through eResources?
- It may take longer to deliver your request (“hold”) to you.
- The number of requests (“holds”) you can ask for will reduce.
- The number of libraries in the Consortium where you can place a “hold” will reduce until a freight solution is found.
- Inter-library loans (ILLS) i.e. items borrowed from libraries outside the One Library Consortium will remain available but will be offered in electronic formats in the first instance. We understand this may not suit everyone and ask customers to please contact us at the library for more information and assistance.
- Ask us if we would consider purchasing the item for our library collection.
We are committed to keeping you informed every step of the way. Thank you for your understanding.

Better Beginnings' Stories, Rhymes and Fun Times
Each week the CRC holds "Stories, Rhymes and Fun Times" for children aged 0-5 and their guardians, for free. In each session, we explore books, rhymes, dance and activities.
Better Beginnings is a Western Australian family literacy program that is designed to connect families with books to inspire a love of literacy and learning through reading, talking, singing, writing and playing. Come along for an entertaining session and get to know other families in your community. If you can't make it in, we also offer a Zoom option. Phone 9765 1169 or email crc@boyupbrook.org for further information. |
